Which then highlighted my second problem. I then switched off our BT home hub Wi-fi (which is located right by the tv) and immediately both devices connected fine.Īnd both devices were able to cast consistently well too. A while later the iPhone lost its connection and then wouldn’t connnect either just like the iPad.Īfter reading many posts I tried changing the usb power connection from the tv to a mains adapter - no difference. I then tried with my iPhone which worked initially and I was able to cast ok (but intermittently). I noticed that the small phone icon at the top of the anycast connection page did change from (0) to (1) momentarily as though it had connected, but then went back to (0). I could view the connection page on the tv, disconnect from our normal Wi-fi and join the anycast SSID, but it wouldn’t accept the password however many times I typed it or tried it. I have spent a frustrating 48 hours trying to get a new anycast dongle working and want to share my issues and 'fixes'.įirst issue was trying to connect to the dongle from my iPad.
